Do I worry?

Do I worry about how my son & daughter-in-law are handling being new parents? Yup I do..After a very long conversation with them last night I am still worried but maybe not as much as I was.
Yes they are finding it all a bit hard at the moment but then that is something all new parents go through at the start. The baby isn’t settling well right now so they are not getting a lot of sleep & are both tired, snappy (with each other) & just generally going through what I call “New parent syndrome”. I so remember all of it (maybe not so well anymore lol) & I feel for them but I can’t go up there & do it for them.If I did then they wouldn’t learn how to cope.I can advise them & give them suggestions & look after bub for a couple of hours so they can catch up on their sleep

Perhaps some may think I’m being harsh in saying what I’m about to say but I don’t think I am. I have raised my kids & I don’t want to raise another at this stage in my life. When my 3 yr old grandson was born we had him for 4.5 months as his parents weren’t coping but I look back now & I feel we didn’t make them try before we took over at their request & for that I feel we did them no favours.
What I want to be able to do is just be Nanny to them & not a substitute mummy. Is that a bad thing for me to say?

Ok I have a picture to show you of my new grand-daughter.I know I’m biased but she is so adorable ๐Ÿ™‚

So now I am going to shush & go think about what type of things I can post that may be of help to other grandparents, young or older.

Life as a younger Nana

Do you ever wonder what life is like for us younger Nana’s?

Personally I have to say it’s fantastic!! I really do love being a younger Nana & feel it has to be one of the most wonderful things that has happened to me in ย a long time.

I am 39 years old & I have 3 grandkids…2 boys,Dominick 3 years,Kaleb 3 months & & ย a girl,Krystal 1 week.And as any grandparent would say, they are the most adorable,beautiful & loving kids.Yup I’m biased ๐Ÿ™‚ I have been there for all 3 births but only got to see Dominick born as the other 2 ended up c-sections.

Form now on I am going to post tid-bits of information, the highs & lows of grandkids & of course I have to tell the funny & naughty things my grandies do so you can all have a laugh ๐Ÿ™‚ …life with grandies is never boring..EVER!!

I do hope you enjoy my blog & please feel free to tell me about your grandkids & the things they do.I’d also be happy to post your funny stories as well.I am hoping to find another 1 or 2 grandmothers who would be interested in joining me on the wonderful adventure ย of being a grandparent ๐Ÿ˜€
